The views
Eureka House is West facing and overlooks the Strait of Georgia, Denman Island and the mountains on Vancouver Island, providing some of the most breathtaking views you will ever experience. The panoramic view provides for gorgeous sunsets and sunrises, all year round - this is one of the only places on Hornby Island with this feature and truly makes Eureka House a one-of-a-kind experience.
You can take in breathtaking panoramic ocean and mountain views. Watch the Ferry make its daily trips between the islands and the float planes landing and taking off from the Spit. From the bluff edge you can spot sea lions and orca swimming through the channel between Hornby and Denman - your own personal safari.
You can’t get more secluded than this
Located on 3 acres of secluded, untouched forest on the side of the Mount Geoffrey Escarpment. The cottage is surrounded by moss covered forests populated with massive, rare Garry Oaks and whimsical Arbutus-you will find the perfect combination of privacy and serenity. Deer regularly visit the house, as do bald Eagles, owls, and other birds. There are no dangerous animals on Hornby Island making it a very safe experience.

“If you are looking for a heaven on earth, come stay at this woodland getaway! The owners were easy to communicate with and the place was incredibly tidy along with having all of the main houseware items (there was even a Roomba). The seclusion of this paradise is bar none, but still within a 15 minute drive to the Hornby Island town centre. The views are superb from the hot tub and the big sliding glass doors. The beautiful fireplace (along with ample amounts of VERY dry firewood) allows for cozy ambience while cooking, playing games, watching tv, and reading books. Looking forward to coming back again!
